Stew chicken is a popular dish in the Caribbean. There are many variations on Stew Chicken. Traditionally, The Belizean stewed chicken  is seasoned with a dash of vinegar, soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce ,onions, garlic, spices, and recado rojo paste. In Belize the dish is served traditionally with coconut rice and beans.

Stew chicken is a dish typically eaten for dinner throughout the English speaking Caribbean islands. The dish is popular in Jamaica, Antigua, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Belize, Dominica and in Caribbean communities throughout the world.

The Belize style stew chicken is simple and easily to cook.The seasoning there would be more choice but not necessary. Stew chicken is up there as being one of the more common dishes – generally served at lunch or dinner. The dish is traditionally sered with rice and beans. The fried plantains did make the plate for this dish in Belize.
