Traditionally, The Belizean stewed chicken is seasoned with a dash of vinegar, soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce ,onions, garlic, spices, and recado rojo paste. In Belize the dish is served traditionally with coconut rice and beans.
Stew chicken is a dish typically eaten for dinner throughout the English speaking Caribbean islands. The dish is popular in Jamaica, Antigua, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Belize, Dominica and in Caribbean communities throughout the world.

Stew chicken is up there as being one of the more common dishes – generally served at lunch or dinner. The dish is traditionally sered with rice and beans.
