Potato pancakes
Potatoes are truly king when it comes to Lithuanian food, and any number of potato dishes are eaten frequently throughout the week. Potato pancakes are a simple dish to make, comprising grated potatoes, onion, and eggs mixed together and fried in oil.
You can add to the flavor of your potato pancakes in a variety of ways. Simply add grated garlic, onion, carrot, parsnips, zucchini, or other vegetables to the batter before frying. In Lithuania they are served with dill, scallions, and sour cream.
