Polneti Piperki

Stuffed peppers are a dish common in many cuisines. It consists of hollowed or halved peppers filled with any of a variety of fillings, often including meat, vegetables, cheese, rice, or sauce. The dish is usually assembled by filling the cavities of the peppers and then cooking.

Polneti Piperki is stuffed peppers of Macedonian variant. It is a tasty and hearty dish from North Macedonia prepared from stuffing peppers with ground meat, rice, and seasonings. People sometimes add chopped vegetables to the polneti piperki stuffing as well. They usually roast polneti piperki in the oven until all peppers are slightly charred, and serve with mashed potatoes on the side.

Macedonian Polneti piperki  are very popular in Macedonia with many versions, passed down from family to family or from friend to friend.
