Pierogi
Undeniable, pierogi is the most popular Polish food. They are thinly rolled-out dough filled with a variety of fillings, savory or sweet. They could be served as an appetizer, main dish or dessert. The dish is always served for Christmas.
There are thousands of recipes for the dough but it is basically flour and water (sometimes eggs or boiled, mashed potatoes) with different fillings.
