Jamaican Jerk Chicken – a well-seasoned grilled chicken with Jamaican jerk marinade that marinade usually consists of blended spices and seasonings such as cloves, cinnamon, scallions, nutmeg, thyme, garlic, brown sugar, ginger, and saltm as well  Scotch bonnet peppers, which are similar to habanero chili peppers.

The jerk Jerk refers to a style of cooking in which the main ingredient—which most often is chicken but may also be beef, pork, goat, boar, seafood, or vegetables—is coated in spices and slow-cooked over a fire or grill traditionally composed of green pimento wood positioned over burning coals.

This classic Jamaican dish is over four hundred years old and a beautiful representation of Caribbean culture. The dish is traditionally served with rice and beans, plantains, sweet potatoes and small cornbread fritters called festival.
