Chifteluțe or chiftele

The  Meatballs, known as "Chiftele" are also one of the most popular Romanian dishes. The “Chiftele” are basically meat patties made with ground pork or mixed with ground beef and then pan-fried.

The crispy, deep-fried Romanian or Moldovan meatballs traditionally made from minced pork or chicken, bread crumbs, and mashed potatoes, flavored abundantly with onions, garlic, lovage, and parsley leaves.The dish is a family of meatball or meatloaf dishes found in the Indian subcontinent, South Caucasian, Middle Eastern, Balkan, and Central Asian cuisines.
