Bistec picado
Bistec picado is a dish of browned pieces of meat (sirloin beef strips, traditionally, but lamb or pork are fine with this recipe too) braised with chili peppers and garlic in tomato sauce and topped with bell peppers or onion, or both. The dish is served often with white rice and fresh salads.
Typically the mildly spicy beef stir fry that brings together onions, bell peppers, garlic, and seasonings, and transforms these ingredients into a mouthwatering, delicious meal. There are so many variations of the dish, some spicier and more complex than others. It is very popular in Panama but also in Mexico and Central Amarica.
