Bake & saltfish
Fried bake is a Caribbean dish. Many West Indian nations including Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, and Guyana eat this dish. The fried bake is usually served with salt fish and steamed vegetables called bake and saltfish, it can also be consumed with fried eggs , corn-beef or even vienna sausage.
Fry bake is a fried dough that can be considered as a bread replacement. It is usually enjoyed alone or with saltfish, the salted codfish. The fried dough is fluffy and airy.
Salted codfish, it is cod fish that has been preserved by drying, after salting. In Africa, this fish is referred to as stock fish- (A very popular and expensive dried unsalted fish). In Italy it is known as baccala and the Portuguese call it bacalhau.
