Raita
Raita is basically a traditional yogurt-based condiment from India. Salted yogurt (dahi) is mixed with herbs and spices, like cumin powder in a deep mixing bowl. Veggies like onions, raw or cooked cucumbers & carrots will add in the comdiment with yogurt, spice powders, herbs to make Fijian style Raita, a sort of veggies salad. The Raita is always served well-chilled because it was originally invented as a way to cool down the palate after eating hot and spicy lobster curries.
